Converter is a ceramic block made of synthetic cordierite honeycomb structure of cylindrical or elliptical shape with a volume of 1 liter. On the inner surface of a thin layer of the channel secondary alumina carrier increases ten times (up to 15-16 m2 / g) surface area and ternary platinum-ruthenium-palladium catalyst. The content of active platinum group metal component averaging 3.5 grams per kilogram of the ceramic carrier. A complex catalyst with platinum replacing part of the rare earth metal oxide.
