TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

GAMMA VISION SYSTEM "MULTIPLEX"


Purpose of the development: Complete visualization of DER measurement and gamma-ray spectra lost disguised radiation sources, nuclear materials and warheads.

Recommended application field: - monitoring of vast areas of radiation-hazardous objects - the selection of individual light sources, remote measurement of their spectra and radiation characteristics, alarm emission and movement of IRS; - introscopic status monitoring RW repositories, IRS containers; - detection and identification of the remote gamma-ray sources in emergency situations; - detection of lost, hidden, disguised sources, including sources within the massive barrier, under the ground or in containers.

Technical characteristic: - angular resolution - 2o and 4o (two options); - the field of view in the first embodiment, x 26o 34o, 40o in the second embodiment, x 60o; - the dimension of the image gamma field from 20x20 to 100x100; - working energy range of 0.1 ... 2 MeV; - sensitivity of gamma radiation 137Cs - 0,8 cm-2s-1 for 1 minute exposure time; - the amount of exposure in the "Overview" 1 ... 5; - the distance of observation and measurement of ... 1 200 m; - dimensions recorder 500 x 220 x 170; - weight of the registrar - 5 kg; - weight of the case with the electronic components - 8 kg; - the power supply system in stationary conditions - by the 220V 50 Hz, in the field of on-board 12V car network; - power consumption - 60W.

Advantages over analogues: Multiplex instrument has many advantages. These include its small size and high degree of portability, ability to form images of hot spots near real-time and its use as a spectrometer. The device has a unique ability to collect spectral data from the area defined by the user in the field of view. It is not known how this is achieved and probably reflects some of the more advanced in the field of producing gamma-images.

The development stage readiness: tested in laboratory condition

Description of the development:

Images in gamma rays superimposed on the normal TV picture. Further processing of individual images fragments enables remote measurement of the emission spectra of activity and gamma-ray sources are in the field of gamma-vision system. Moreover, all these features are implemented and if the radiation sources are behind the massive barrier (protection) or underground.
