TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

RESTRUCTURING OF LIQUID RENEWABLE HYDROCARBON INTO SYNTHESIS GAS

Purpose of the development: Creation of energy, which corresponds to the concept of sustainable development. The energy independence of Ukraine. Technology hybrid plasma renewable catalytic reforming liquid hydrocarbons (ethanol, vegetable oils, alcohols) in the synthesis gas which has a caloric content which is close to natural gas (> = 25 MJ m3).

Recommended application field: Small power up to 50 kW for an individual user, municipal power system - MW units. Synthetic fuel production for the Fischer-Tropsch technology.

Advantages over analogues: Renewable raw materials. Low-cost manufacturing process equipment. The low temperature process. High conversion efficiency of feedstock to syngas. Further reagents to hydrocarbon feed are naturally friendly substances - air, water and CO2. Ample opportunities for scaling. High reliability in operation compared to the known conventional plasma chemical technologies. Compared with biodiesel processing technology of vegetable raw materials: no toxic waste, and much deeper processing of raw material.

The development stage readiness: Ready for application

Description of the development:
()
Synthesis gas is considered as an alternative fuel gas: combustion at substantially the same conditions, does not require additional development costs burners. Non-equilibrium low-temperature plasma is used as catalyst (promoter) pyrolysis of traditional techniques in the hybrid plasma-catalytic technology. Reducing the chemical conversion temperature of the material only leads to increase selectivity (target increase yield) and less waste (gas phase leaving - nitrogen when using air as the oxidant, the amount of waste is rarely the phase does not exceed 0.1%, almost solid phase waste no main features of the developed technologies that additional reagents are naturally friendly substances -.. air, water and CO2, which are partly activated in low-temperature plasma ratio between the energy content of the synthesis gas (thermal energy released during complete combustion of the synthesis gas) to electricity energy is spent on the generation of an electrical discharge plasma> = 100 (in a laboratory experiment and reached 400). demonstrated in laboratory equipment ethanol conversion efficiency in synthesis gas 85% 92% theoretically possible.
