BIOTECHNOLOGY OF THE OIL POLLUTION AQUATIC ELIMINATION


Purpose of the development: Biotechnology is designed for quick response to oil spills on the surface of water (in water areas of ports and shipyards, seas, rivers, lakes, ponds, estuaries). The use of biotechnology allows a short time: - block the oil pollution and prevent it from spreading; - eliminate contamination with minimal environmental damage; - provide further prolonged effect due to introduction into the natural biocoenosis of bacteria-destructors of oil hydrocarbons; - to strengthen the processes of natural recovery biocenoses with the involvement and stimulation of self-cleaning mechanisms.

Recommended application field: Development can be realized at the enterprises and organizations of various departmental subordination and in private industry.

Technical characteristic: Depending on the film thickness and the type of petroleum product consumption is calculated from the weight ratio: for the thin silver film - 1 (of the drug), 10 (parts of oil) for dull thick film - 1 (of the drug) 4 (parts of oil). Spraying a biological product on the oil film is carried out starting from the periphery to the center, until the entire surface of the oil stain will not be covered by the drug. Sorption of petroleum products is carried out in the first few minutes after application of the drug with the water surface cleaning efficiency is high and reaches 80% or more. The preparation requires the collection, that is, provides a degradation of petroleum hydrocarbons in the natural environment.

Advantages over analogues: The comparative analysis made on the basis of patent search shows that the essential features technical solutions developed environmentally friendly biotechnology dramatically different in degree and speed of the water surface cleaning by a film of oil pollution, especially in extreme situations.

Technical and economic effect: Developed microbial biotechnology liquidation film of oil pollution of water surface environmentally and economically feasible, do not require the use of expensive imported equipment and materials.

Biotechnology involves the use of biological preparation - immobilized according to special technology on an organic substrate (peat) non-pathogenic bacteria destructors genus Pseudomonas, selected from the natural environment. Biological product exhibits sorption and destructive activity on petroleum hydrocarbons. The method is intended for use in biotechnology, environmental protection of marine and fresh water bodies. In the first stage of works on liquidation of oil-polluted water areas, the technical means used - booms, oil collectors and sorbents - vermiculite, perlite, peat. Contaminated oil field is localized booms and then oil the oil is going to Moussoro collections in accordance with RD 31.04.01-90 "Rules of work to clean up the polluted waters of ports." In the second stage of works on liquidation of iridescent oil films and cleaning the water environment of the emulsified oil products remaining after mechanical harvesting is used biopesticide.
