Purpose of the development: Ukrainian scientists propose to introduce a comprehensive project for the processing of garbage and solid waste.

Advantages over analogues: - avoiding compulsory sorting of solid waste by those who produce them; - increasing the efficiency of the sorting for traditional types of raw materials (plastic, glass, paper, ...); - the conversion of the feedstock remaining MSW; - addressing the full range of problems (lack of sanitation, odor, slovenly appearance, etc.) associated with the currently existing facilities for garbage collection; - MSW problem solution for all types of settlements.

The problem of inefficiency of the existing solid waste management technologies in Ukraine can be solved with the help of an integrated Smart-solutions. At the first stage the garbage collected in the specialized areas-cells, which are being built in the cities on the basis of one cell per 1,000 inhabitants. The cells in semi-automatic mode reception and sorting garbage. Specialized transport waste and recyclables are delivered to packing and processing plant. One station is designed for the reception of raw materials by 30 cells, ie from 30 000 inhabitants. Daily volume at the station - up to 34 tons of solid waste residues. The station carried out the garbage processing at paving tiles or building materials. This cycle, developed by Russian scientists, will solve the garbage problem and megacities and district centers. The cost of the pilot project to service residential area with 30,000 inhabitants is 900 000 euro. For the million-plus city cost between 30 000 000 EUR (compared to a similar capacity incineration plant will cost 250 million euros).
