Purpose of the development: Creating a method of diagnosis of endocarditis, staphylococcal etiology.

Technical characteristic: The method developed by ELISA using teichoic acid Staphylococcus aureus Wood 46 as antigen to detect specific antibodies in sera of patients with staphylococcal endocarditis etiology.

Advantages over analogues: A method, as compared with analogs: - requires considerably less time-consuming; - it is a technically simple; - its characterized by high sensitivity and specificity.

The proposed methods of earlier diagnosis of staphylococcal endocarditis insufficiently reliable because of the relatively low sensitivity and specificity. With the help of ELISA conducted identification of specific antibodies to teichoic acid Staphylococcus aureus Wood 46. Diagnostic method provides rapid diagnosis of endocarditis, staphylococcal etiology.
