ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE POLYMER COMPOSITE OF ANTIFRICTION PURPOSE


Purpose of the development: It is intended for coating in a safe way.

Recommended application field: The new polymer composition may be applied as an antifriction structural material, that is plain bearing inserts, O-rings, bushings, etc., machinery, metallurgical, chemical and mining industries.

Advantages over analogues: A polymer composite of sustainability and strength and performance exceeds is above the known world analogues.

The development stage readiness: tested in laboratory condition

Technical and economic effect: The introduction of polymer composite created exceeds PCB: toughness - 170-320 kJ / m2, tensile strength, flexural strength - 180-230 MPa compressive -160-200 MPa and heat resistance at Martens - up to 210 ° C, water absorption - 0.4 0, 5%, the coefficient of friction - 0,14-0,24; on performance it is 1.5 times the PCB metallurgical grade "B", and it is more environmentally friendly, as a phenolic binder has free phenol content to 1%, while the content of phenolic resin in the production of up to 10%.

Description of the development:

New polymer composite is based on environmental phenol-formaldehyde matrix reinforced with discrete high modulus fiber-filled polyamide benzimidazole with tribological additives. The composite has high strength properties and is able to work as a structural material in the antifriction heavy duty friction units and aggressive environments: dust, grit, moisture, high temperatures.
