TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT OF EFFECTIVE TREATMENT OF WASTE RUBBER INDUSTRY


Purpose of the development: The inventive principles allow to find effective means of recycling waste rubber, depending on their origin and the particle size.

Recommended application field: Application technology based on the use of conventional equipment used in the rubber industry. Development can be realized at the enterprises of the rubber industry, tire-repair plant, in enterprises where there is a production of various rubber products.

Advantages over analogues: The developed technology allows the use of crumb rubber modified as part of tread rubber compounds in amounts of up to 10% by weight without impairing the complex technological properties of rubber compounds and physico-mechanical properties of vulcanizates. When using treated waste rubber in the rubber composition for the manufacture of rubber products of various types of content can be increased up to 70% by weight. World analogues involve the use of special equipment.

The development stage readiness: Ready for application

Technical and economic effect: The cost-effectiveness of this development is determined by the fact that the content of the rubber component is reduced in rubber compositions. Cost of the modified crumb rubber is approximately 20-30% of the cost of the rubber. Therefore, a significant saving without impairing the basic operating characteristics of rubber products can be achieved by using modified crumb rubber.

The problem of recycling waste rubber remains relevant, despite the improvement of production technology of new products and their recycling. The most promising types of processing associated with the grinding material for positive or negative temperatures. However, the problem remains insufficiently effective utilization of regrind obtained, particularly crumb rubber.
