Purpose of the development: To improve the ecological state of the environment by creating a new technological method for treating wastewater from heavy metals.

Recommended application field: The proposed project can be applied in the field of metallurgical, metalworking, machine-building industry, as well as in enterprises having galvanic production.

Advantages over analogues: A method for purifying wastewater from heavy metals (chromium, lead, nickel, copper, iron, cadmium and zinc) is proposed. The method is based on the use of principally new sorbents - sedimentary rocks of a certain mineralogical composition. The proposed method of cleaning is environmentally safer than other methods. The sorbent allows to carry out water purification in both neutral and acidic environments. The method allows saving costs by returning the solution to the initial stage of the galvanic process. The used sorbent does not require regeneration, it can be recycled by using building materials during production. Availability of sorbent: distributed on 80% of the territory of Ukraine. Sorbent has a low cost price (100 UAH / ton = 10 kopecks / kg).

For the purification of waste water as a sorbent, a natural material widely used in Europe is used, which contains clay minerals represented by kaolinite, montmorillonite, hydromica. The method allows to purify sewage from lead, chromium, copper, zinc, iron, cadmium for their joint and separate presence. The purification level allows the use of purified water in reverse production cycles. The degree of wastewater treatment in the range of metal concentrations in wastewater 20 - 200 mg / dm3 is from 80 to 100%.
