EQUIPMENT AND TECHNOLOGY OF MANUFACTURE OF BIMETALS WITH APPLICATION OF LASER PROCESSING


Purpose of the development: For the production of bimetals.

Recommended application field: - corrosion-resistant bimetal is used for the manufacture of petrochemical and atomic energy equipment; - antifriction bimetals - for the manufacture of sliding bearings; - bimetals with special properties - in the manufacture of rocket and space equipment.

Advantages over analogues: The developed high-efficiency laser-casting and combined methods for manufacturing bimetals are more economical, productive, qualitative and have greater application limits compared to other methods of manufacturing bimetals (electroslag, multilayer arc surfacing, diffusion welding, casting, plastic welding).

Technical and economic effect: The cost and productivity of manufacturing a bimetal depends on the characteristics of the functional layer: the chemical and phase composition, its thickness and stiffness, the strength of adhesion to the base, the geometric dimensions and configuration of the bimetal sheet. The production capacity of bimetal varies in a wide range - for bimetal "steel 12Х18НUТ - steel ст.З" with a thickness of a functional layer of 4 mm varies depending on manufacturing technology and quality indicators in the range (0,08-0,25) m2 / min. The cost - 600-2000 UAH.

Description of the development:

Based on the bimetal, which is installed in the matrix and mixed together with it, a focused laser beam is directed. The melt of the functional component of the bimetal is fed into the laser beam from the special tuyere with a certain flow rate. At the cooling stage, the crystallized metal is compacted by a deforming roller. The developed technologies allow producing bimetals of the type "corrosion-resistant steel 12Х18Н10Т - steel Сг.З", "corrosion-resistant steel 12Х18Н10Т - gray cast iron СЧ 18-36"; "Steel 40X13 - steel Cr.Z" and others, with a thickness of the functional layer from 1 to 5 mm. Metallurgical communication is provided between the functional layer and the basis of the manufacturing technology.
