COMPLEX OF DIAGNOSTICS AND CORRECTION OF HUMAN HEARING ORIENTATION


Purpose of the development: For diagnosis and correction of hearing using model analysis.

Recommended application field: Biomechanics.

Advantages over analogues: The method is characterized by the use of an improved algorithm for binaural sound perception by preserving the natural mechanism of the micro-displacement of the human head. The technical result of the study is the correction of auditory deviation in the practical implementation of the functions of the hearing aid.

On the basis of the polynomial approximation, an analytical dependence is proposed to determine the transfer function of the auricles for an arbitrary angle of location of the sound source for the possibility of binaural perception of sound information using headphones. This allows you to send a signal directly to the headphones, which makes it possible to avoid the use of specialized rooms and complex speakers. A virtual complex was developed to remove the angular diagram, by which the patient indicates the location of an imaginary source on a PC monitor. In the virtual device, an algorithm is implemented to isolate the error in determining the angle of sound, which allows further to take into account the influencing factors: the degree of hearing loss, the time of arrival of sound, and the psychophysiological features of the patient's reaction to the action of the stimulus. By results of theoretical researches the mathematical model which has been realized in the software and the diagnostic complex is constructed is created. Laboratory investigations of the diagnostic complex are carried out.
