Purpose of the development: To increase the energy efficiency of buildings by optimizing their parameters (shape, proportions, distribution of insulation, orientation and area of windows) and so on.

Recommended application field: Designing and reconstruction of buildings.

The Solar House program was developed, which allows in the interactive dialogue between the designer and the computer to determine the heat loss, heat input from solar radiation, the heat balance of the enclosing structures, and the optimal parameters of the house at the architectural design stage. The following tasks are solved: - optimization of the location of the solar collector on the enclosing structures of buildings; - optimization of the redistribution of the insulation between the edges of the enclosing structures, taking into account the cost of insulation and installation in new construction and reconstruction (reduction of heat loss 5-12%); - determination of the payback period with certain investments for insulation and optimization of the insulation parameters; - optimization of building proportions taking into account the heat input from solar radiation through opaque and translucent structures for separately standing and blocked buildings (reduction of heat loss 5-14%); - shape optimization and warming, the layout of windows for free-standing and blocked buildings with vertical walls in the form of rectangular parallelepiped and mansard (reduction of heat loss 5-14%); - optimization of shape and insulation of separately standing buildings with a given number of arbitrarily placed faces (reduction of heat loss 5-20%) - optimization of the rotation mode of monitoring buildings and so on. Developments can be used in the design of new energy efficient buildings, reconstruction of existing buildings, as well as in the design of conventional buildings.
