Purpose of the development: The utility model refers to hydraulic engineering structures, namely to protective dams, and is designed to protect the territories from the harmful effects of water, namely, the exclusion of flooding and flooding of adjacent territories as a result of raising the water level in the watercourse.

The embankment dam with drainage element is aimed at increasing the filtration stability of the structure and preventing suffosion processes from the upstream side as a result of interception of filtration water flows both in the dam body and under it, which will provide reliable protection of the enclosing area from flooding and flooding. The proposed embankment dam consists of the body of the dam, the upper and lower slopes, and is distinguished by the fact that on the lower slope side the dam is equipped with a draining element whose filtration coefficient is higher than that of the dam body and which is hydraulically connected to a drain deepened into the soil from the side Lower tail.
