TECHNOLOGY OF PURIFICATION OF INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER WATERS
Purpose of the development:
The developed technology is intended for purification of industrial wastewater from nonionic oxyethylenic and anionic surfactants, metal ions, heavy metals and radionuclides, as well as bacteriological pollutants using luminescent electrolysis.
Recommended application field:
Cleaning of drains. The development is planned to be implemented at the treatment facilities of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant as a degree of wastewater treatment of special pesticides and a decontamination station.
The development stage readiness:
Ready for application
Description of the development:
() The project is based on the idea of processing aqueous solutions of inorganic and organic substances by glow discharge plasma in the film mode of their flow through a vertical continuous reactor with a coaxially located anode. Due to the fact that the plasma of a glow discharge is a directed movement of charged particles, charged particles that have high energy (about 100 eV) are interned in the liquid and cause a deep destruction of both molecules of the solvent itself and of the substrate molecules. In this case, it becomes possible to proceed with such reactions, which can not be carried out under other conditions. The application of the method to wastewater treatment contaminated with nonionic oxyethyl and anionic surfactants, heavy metals, radionuclides and bacteriological contaminants was studied. The degree of purification from surfactants was 95%, from heavy metals and radionuclides 90%, from bacteriological contaminants almost 100%.
