TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

MOBILE INSTALLATION FOR RADIATION OF POWERFUL ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSES


Purpose of the development: Ukrainian University has created, tested and delivered to the Customer (an enterprise in Kiev) mobile installation for radiation electromagnetic pulses up to 11 GW in pulse.

Recommended application field: The unit is designed for multi-purpose use and can be used for defense purposes to disable electronic means, control systems of various objects.

Technical characteristic: - weight with a supporting structure - no more than 2 tons; - dimensions with radiator - length - 4000 mm, width - 2050 mm, height - 2100 mm; - energy, which is initially stored, - up to 1000 J; - amplitude of the voltage at the output of the pulse generator of the installation - up to 1 MV; - radiation system installation - 16-antenna radiator with a flat screen; - antenna type in radiator - conical helical antenna with axial (central) conductor; - power supply - from the usual network 220 V, 50 Hz.

Advantages over analogues: A distinctive feature of the installation is a large value (up to 100 J) of energy, which is emitted in each pulse.

The principle of construction and operation of the plant is based on the primary accumulation of energy in a capacitive energy storage device at a voltage level of 10 kV, followed by a two-step voltage increase to levels of 100 kV and 1 MV, respectively, when compressed in time. Then, with the help of the forming device, the front of the generated pulses exacerbates and feeds them to the input of a 16-antenna radiator, the antennas of which provide synchronous radiation of electromagnetic pulses. The axial mode of radiation of each antenna emitter is realized. The antenna axes are parallel and uniformly arranged in a circle. The installation consists of a charger, a 10 kV and 100 kV capacitive accumulators, a 1 MV unit, two Tesla 100 kV pulse transformers and 1 MB each, 16 antenna radiators, a compressed gas switching system (for example, Nitrogen, SF6 gas, Mixtures of nitrogen with SF6 gas, etc.), control systems. The installation is easily transported by conventional trucks.
