TECHNOLOGY OF THE NANODISPERSED POWDERS MANUFACTURE WITH THE HELP OF ZIRCONIUM DUOKIS STABILIZED

Purpose of the development: The Ukrainian University has developed a technology for manufacturing nanodispersed powders of stabilized zirconium dioxide intended for the manufacture of ceramic base materials for medical purposes, electrolytes for fuel cells,

Recommended application field: Chemical, ceramic, mining and metallurgical industry, medical materials industry, etc.

Advantages over analogues: The properties of the resulting powder materials correspond to the level of the world's analogues in this field. The cost price of manufacturing 1 kg of nanodispersed stabilized zirconia in the conditions of production in Ukraine will cost 25-30 $ / kg, while the world price of such material (for example, firm "TOSON", Japan) reaches 70-80 $ / kg.

The development stage readiness: Ready for application

Description of the development:
()
The essence of the development is the use for the manufacture of nano-sized oxide powders of aqueous solutions of zirconium salts or others in which the conditions for the formation of polymer particles of size 10-50 nm are established which, as a result of controlled specific physico-chemical and technological actions, retain their size throughout the system transformation path: solution-sol-gel-xerogel oxide. The size of the final particles of zirconia is 30-50 nm. Industrial-research tests have already been carried out, 1200 kg of nanodispersed powders of stabilized zirconia have been produced. The obtained powders were used for making the ceramic basis of electrolytes of fuel cells, medical materials - various types of prostheses, scalpels, etc. The obtained samples are not inferior to analogues from the world firms TOSOH, MEL.
