TECHNICAL CERAMICS FOR APPLICATION OF ABSORBING, RADIATION, SWITCHING COATING AND CONTAINERS OF RADIOACTIVE WASTES
Purpose of the development:
The development is designed to produce industrially attractive technical ceramics with improved physical and technological parameters.
Recommended application field:
Manufacture of special-purpose machinery.
Technical characteristic:
- the average size of the output powder reagents obtained from industrial precursors by the method of mechanochemical activation - from 20 to 200 nm;
- relative density - from 40 to 95% (set by the temperature-time mode of sintering);
- melting point - from 850 to 2100 ° C.
Advantages over analogues:
- high resistance to high-temperature oxidation;
- acceptable values of coefficients of thermal expansion and adhesion;
- the use of industrial precursors to produce the original nanopowders.
The development stage readiness:
Tested experimental exploitation order
Description of the development:
() New approaches have been developed in the methods for the production of ceramic materials with a spinel structure for:
- adhesion compounds of corundum armored ceramics plates with plates of ferrite absorbers of electromagnetic radiation;
- coatings for ferritic chrome steel switching elements in assemblies of fuel cells with solid-state electrolyte;
- coatings with a high emissivity (at least 88%) in the temperature range of 550-1100 ° C, which are suitable for operation in high vacuum conditions (reflectors of nuclear power generators, radiators, radiators for space vehicles, etc.);
- inert matrices for the isolation of radiation waste.
