Methods have been developed to increase the strength of metallic materials (in particular, cast iron and aluminum alloys) by fusing superhard materials-nitrides and metal oxides into the near-surface region of parts with a pulsed laser beam. This allows us to intensify the use of metal equipment. Technological characteristics of laser radiation: duration - 10 ns, power density - 10 to 9 degrees W/sq. meters.
