CARBON-FIBER NANOSTRUCTURED ACTIVATED ENGINEERING MATERIAL SORPTION
Purpose of the development:
The material can be used as: electrodes for supercapacitors; hydrogen storage tanks; filter for cleaning water and air from heavy metals, phenol, methyl, chlorine, isotopes and other toxic substances (in particular: sarin, soman, mustard, rocket fuel, cigarette smoke, etc.); screens for protection from superrigid radiation control systems in rocketry, robotics and nuclear power.
Recommended application field:
In the space industry, robotics and in AEC surveillance systems.

Description of the development:
() Domestic development has sorption kinetics and sorption capacity 2-3 times higher, and the regulated use of various types of nanoscale structure and a wide range of nanostructures (nanocibulins, nanografts, nanofibres, nanotubes, nanowires) significantly expands the possibilities of the sorption method of water and air purification from a number of pollutants, in particular from residual chlorine, organochlorine compounds and dyes. Application of development in control systems as protective shields from hard gamma radiation makes it possible to make screens lighter than steel ones 10 times, and for concrete ones 9 times while maintaining general protective properties. The low weight of protection of control systems allows us to apply these screens in the space industry, robotics and in NPP surveillance systems.
