Purpose of the development: The development is designed to increase productivity and reduce the energy intensity of the process of transporting loose materials by inertial conveyors.

Recommended application field: The inertial conveyor refers to hoisting and transport engineering and can be used for transportation of goods in various branches of industry and agriculture.

Technical characteristic: Inertial conveyors are used for transportation of bulk materials for a length of up to 50 meters with a capacity of up to 400 m3 / h.

Advantages over analogues: The average value of the friction force in the longitudinal direction is much less than the average value of the frictional force in the transverse direction, so the load will move along the gutter with a smaller negative acceleration, which leads to an increase in the productivity of the inertial conveyor.

Description of the development:

The inertial conveyor consists of a trough which is mounted on the balls, with the ability to move both along and across the conveyor axis along a fixed reciprocating drive base and a vibrator to effect lateral trough oscillations. The vibrator is equipped with a control panel. The inertial conveyor operates as follows. When the gutter moves to the right due to the drive, the load that is on the gutter starts to move along with the gutter. At the time when the trough speed reaches its maximum value, a vibrator is activated to effect transverse trough oscillations. So the material by inertia will move along the surface of the trough until the trough starts moving in the desired direction. At this point in time, the vibrator is turned off and the cycle repeats.
