Purpose of the development: Diagnostic probe for in-channel inspection of heating mains.

Recommended application field: In housing and communal services of large cities.

Advantages over analogues: The probe is inserted into the non-flow channel of the heating main and allows remote visual inspection of the surface of the pipeline and its surroundings at a distance of up to 20 m from the heat chamber wall, "peer" behind the turns of the heating main near the TK and measure the acoustic noise level and temperature in the heating channel up to 6 m (the maximum length of the probe rod) from the TC wall.

Description of the development:

The probe consists of a combined measuring device, telescopic bar and indicator unit. An air-conditioned video camera, an LED backlight, a microphone and a heat meter are installed in the sealed measuring device. The video image, acoustic noise level and temperature are displayed in real time on the display unit screen. During the experimental operation of the probe, the procedures for obtaining diagnostic information from the channel for laying the heating main and methods for efficient use of this information in determining the locations of damages of heating networks have been worked out.
