TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

NANOSTRUCTURED COMPOSITE MATERIALS

Purpose of the development: Nanostructured composite materials based on calcium orthophosphates and natural polymers on titanium substrates are used to increase the biocompatibility of medical implants.

Recommended application field: Nanostructured composite materials can be used in practical medicine, in particular in orthopedics, traumatology and dentistry to fill bone defects.

Technical characteristic: The average crystallite size - 25-50 nm. The hardness of cement with polymers - 2.5-5 MPa.

Advantages over analogues: - the composition is close to biogenic bone tissue; - not toxic; - biocompatible; - resistant to resorption; - strengthens regeneration of bone tissue; - have antimicrobial properties; - the mechanical properties of the metal implant are coupled to a biocompatible coating material.

The development stage readiness: Ready for application

Description of the development:
()
The main phases of the obtained products are finely divided hydroxyapatite (GA), apatite carbonate, apatite composite and tricalcium phosphate, biopolymers. High porosity allows the immobilization of drugs.
