BIOACTIVE FIBER-COATED COATING FOR ORTHOPEDICS


Purpose of the development: Substitute of bone tissue.

Recommended application field: Effectively the use of bioactive glasscrystalline coatings on titanium alloys based on calcium silicophosphate glasscrystalline glasses in orthopedics and dentistry as bone substitutes.

Technical characteristic: The coating is fired under the conditions of a one-stage low-temperature heat treatment at T <850 ° C, prevents the formation of scale and a brittle alpha layer of considerable thickness (T> = 850 ° C). The mechanical properties of the synthesized coatings (HV = 5440 - 5660 MPa, K1c = 2.01 - 2.73 MPa m-1/2) and their surface properties (Ra = 3.4-10.0 ?m, BEP = 51-60 MJ / m2) provide the necessary physico-chemical properties of the composites and allow them to be used in conditions of cyclic dynamic loads.

Advantages over analogues: Reduced the period of adhesion to the bone before the 1st month.

The development stage readiness: Tested experimental exploitation order

Technical and economic effect: The set of properties allows to increase the life of the implant and to speed up the rehabilitation period of patients 2 times.

The effectiveness of the use of bioactive glasscrystalline coatings on titanium alloys based on calcium silicophosphate glasscrystalline glasses in orthopedics and dentistry as bone substitutes is explained by the unique combination of physicochemical, mechanical, technological and clinico-biological properties of a composite based on a surface active glass material and a titanium alloy with high compatibility with bone cloth. Domestic bioactive glasscrystalline coatings have been developed for titanium alloys with a regulated level of solubility and mechanical properties similar to natural bone based on calcium silicophosphate glasses and the technology for their production.
