Purpose of the development: To ensure a reduction in the flammability of products made of polyamide-6.

Recommended application field: The developed composite materials can be applied practically at all enterprises processing polyamides, and also at the enterprises that produce parts from polyamides by machining the workpiece. These are enterprises of aviation, shipbuilding, electrical engineering, machine building, food industry, instrument making, automobile and railway transport, civil and industrial construction, agriculture.

Technical characteristic: With an effective component ratio, the polymerization of caprolactam proceeds without an induction period and is completed in 3-4 minutes at 170 ± 5 ° C (according to conventional technology, the hydrolytic polymerization process lasts 16-20 hours). The completion of the polymerization process is provided in two ways: - production of granular material; - receipt of the finished product (billet).

Advantages over analogues: There is no such technology in Ukraine. Such products may be of interest to other states.

In the anionic polymerization of caprolactam in the presence of organomodified montmorillonite, formation of exfoliated nanocomposites takes place. At the same time, a significant reduction (27-32%) of the combustibility of composite materials is achieved and an increase in mechanical properties by 2.5 times when the filler is introduced in a smaller quantity (1%) than traditional fillers.
