TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

TEPLOUTILIZATION APPARATUSS OF INNOVATIVE CONSTRUCTIONS WITH POWERFUL RADIATION COMPONENT OF HEAT EXCHANGE FOR FUEL OVENS


Purpose of the development: The Ukrainian Institute offers a project for the development, manufacture and introduction of heat recovery devices for innovative designs (recuperative heat recovery units) with enhanced radiation constituent of heat exchange for fuel furnaces for the purpose of their reconstruction and modernization.

Recommended application field: - metallurgical plants (in Ukraine there are more than 60 rolling mills, which use obsolete designs of tubular recuperators still of Soviet manufacture.) These recuperators can be successfully replaced or reconstructed for recuperators with secondary emitters); - machine-building enterprises (in Ukraine there are thousands of forging and stamping furnaces, thermal furnaces for metallurgy and machine building, glass furnaces, etc. Such furnaces generally do not have heat recovery devices at all, which causes their low efficiency.The effective heat-recovery devices in this case can be remote cylindrical -receiver recuperators).

Advantages over analogues: Advantages of tubular recuperators: • increase in the air heating temperature by ~ 100 ° C; • additional fuel savings of up to 20%; • extending the service life by 2 ... 5 times. Advantages of remote cylindrical recuperators: • high efficiency of heat transfer even in conditions of low-temperature furnaces, possibility of work with minimal temperature head; • low hydraulic losses of the coolant path; • high thermal and hydraulic efficiency; • compactness and low metal consumption, convenient placement on the furnace and no need to place in separate chimneys; • possibility of using for heating each of the combustion components: air-oxidant and low-calorie gas.

The development stage readiness: Ready for application

Technical and economic effect: - energy - intensification of heat exchange in recuperators - by increasing the combustion air temperature, up to 30% of fuel economy is achieved; - operational - due to the decrease in the temperature of the heat exchange surfaces, the service life of the recuperators (furnace equipment) is prolonged - the premise for the heating of furnaces with low-calorific process gases containing sulfur; - the economic effect (the use of tubular recuperators of the proposed design provides a significant economic effect with a short payback period of the development implementation - 4 months.) When implemented at all metallurgical plants in Ukraine, the annual economic effect is ~ 30 million US dollars, including additional savings due to structural features recuperators ~ 9 million US dollars per year).

Description of the development:

New designs of recuperators with an increased radiation component have been created, which is ensured by establishing in the channels of the heat exchanger secondary radiators of optimal geometry. Directions of constructive implementation of the concept: - tubular (convective) recuperators, which are located in the chimneys of the furnace; - remote cylindrical-ring recuperators. The need for investment - is determined individually by the capacity of the furnace and is ~ 20 thousand US dollars in terms of 1 ton of finished metal.
