Purpose of the development: For the enrichment of ferruginous quartzites.

Recommended application field: Mining and dressing combines for the extraction and processing of ores, in particular magnetite quartzites.

Technical characteristic: Reduction of water consumption to 20 m3 per ton of concentrate. Reduction of electricity costs by 10 kW * h.

Advantages over analogues: The use of the developed technological regimes ensures the production of hydrocyclones from the second stage of enrichment with a mass fraction of the solid phase up to 30%, and the drains of the third stage of enrichment up to 25% by using the developed hydraulics classification schemes. Such indicators, simultaneously with the rational distribution of water by magnetic separation techniques in each enrichment stage and the supply of drains of magnetic desmoothers of the third stage of enrichment into the grinding cycle of the first stage of enrichment, which reduce the water consumption for the production of tons of concentrate magnetite by about 2 times without reducing its quality.

The development stage readiness: Introduced in production

Technical and economic effect: Payback period: 1-3 years. The cost and duration of the project work depends on the required amount of research.

Based on the study of the mechanics of suspensions, in the interaction of dispersed phase particles with a dispersion medium, the mathematical models of wet separation processes that have become the basis for the development of technology for the enrichment of ferruginous quartzites, in particular magnetite, have been developed. This provides a significant reduction in water consumption. The created technology provides definition of scientifically grounded values of volumetric concentration of intermediate enrichment products in technological operations of inter-equipment circulation and water supply in the final operation of each stage of enrichment.
