Advantages over analogues: The reduction of the surface tension between the bath and the well walls by the use of a hydrophobically soluble surfactant (sulfonal), which is dissolved in water and a hydrocarbon liquid, is widely used in drilling wells.

An effective way to increase the stability of the well walls is to use a fuel and bitumen bath, which includes the furnace household fuel and oxidized bitumen. Such a bath is inexpensive and increases the stability of the walls of the well. The modified fuel and bitumen bath contains an organic solvent and oxidized bitumen with a softening point of 130-140 ° C. and further contains sulfonal. The highest resistance of the breed samples is observed at the impurity of sulphonal from 0.9% to 2.5% (less concentration corresponds to highly permeable rocks of sandstone, and large low permeable rocks - clay deposits).
