Purpose of the development: Measurement of forces in the lower part of the drill string to ensure control over its operability in the process of drilling the well with given regime-technological parameters.

Recommended application field: The device is used to measure the forces that arise when drilling wells at different points in a drill string. The development of the device for determining the forces in any section of the drill string allows to choose the optimal regime-technological parameters for drilling a well of any design profile, to more accurately predict the durability of the drill pipe string and, in turn, to optimize the periods of flaw detection, to prevent pipe failure.

Advantages over analogues: Increase the accuracy of measuring the bending forces that occur in the drill string when drilling a well, by fixing certain values of the bending forces at a particular time.

The device for measuring the forces in the drill pipe string comprises a recording unit and an elastic element which is made in the form of a stiffened section of a pipe, a fixed sleeve made in the form of a console, at the free end of which at least three displacement transducers are fixed, each of which consists of piston and cylinder. The pistons of the transducers are fixed rigidly to the free end of the sleeve, and the cylinders are mounted with the possibility of contact with the inner surface of the tube. The device has three hydraulic actuators located inside the pipe, the working cavities of which are connected by pipelines to the cavities of the respective displacement transducers, and comprises a spring loaded movable bushing of a larger diameter than a fixed one to which a soft metal plate is attached.
