Purpose of the development: The device makes it possible to control the tension of the belts by measuring two tension parameters - the force and the deflection of the belts. The developed design of the prototype device. Industrial tests of the prototype are carried out.

Recommended application field: At drilling and oil and gas production enterprises where V-belt transmissions are used (drives of pumps, compressors, rocking machines, etc.).

Advantages over analogues: There are no analogues in Ukraine; simplicity of design, ease of use, high accuracy of measurement.

The durability of V-belt gears depends significantly on the previous (mounting) belt tension. Strongly tensioned belts create significant loads on the shafts of V-belt transmissions, accelerate the process of fatigue failure of shafts, belts, wear of bearings. Loosely taut belts slip on the pulleys, heat up, resulting in quick action of pulleys and belts.
