METHOD OF ELECTRIC ARC WELDING OF MATERIALS WITH IMPLEMENTATION OF SELF-PROPULED HIGH-TEMPERATURE SYNTHESIS
Purpose of the development:
Increase of durability of machines for transportation, mixing, dosing, grinding, pressing, briquetting of loose and plastic masses with moderate and high abrasive content.
Recommended application field:
Restoration and strengthening of the working surfaces of equipment operating under conditions of intense abrasion.
Advantages over analogues:
The results of the tests to determine the abrasive wear resistance of the coatings under investigation showed that the layers obtained by combining SHS with electric arc surfacing have a wear resistance 1.17 times higher than the layers welded with the finished products as a filler due to the revealed differences in their microstructure.
The development stage readiness:
Ready for application
Description of the development:
() For surfacing materials with the realization of self-propagated high-temperature synthesis (SHS), it is proposed to conduct an exothermic reaction of the initial components in a tubular electrode, initiating the synthesis by the action of the thermal energy of the electric arc.
