Purpose of the development: Definition of the metrological characteristics of household gas meters (BSG) at the place of operation by consumers using natural gas as a working medium.

Recommended application field: Metrological control over the BSG at the place of operation in the municipal and domestic sphere, ensures the rational use of natural gas and the achievement of solutions to energy conservation issues.

Advantages over analogues: Reducing the cost of metrological control of gas meters by 30-40%, due to the lack of operations for installing and dismounting household meters, their transportation to the place of verification in determining their error, and the possibility of increasing the inter-verifying period due to metrological control of the BSG at the place of operation. Determination of the actual error of BSG on a real medium under operational conditions, which may differ from the error obtained by metrological control in air.

A special feature of the implementation of the method of non-demounting metrological control of household gas meters (BSG) is the use of a complex device containing at least one technological unit for selecting natural gas with pressure, temperature and density sensors that is installed in one of the shut-off valves of the operating gas consuming equipment. The value of the error of the BCG is determined by comparing the readings of the investigated BSG with the control volume of the gas determined indirectly by a complex device. The obtained values of errors of the BSG make it possible to draw a conclusion about the results of the metrological control of the BSG, due to which the diagnostics of its operability and verification for compliance with the regulatory documents of the metrological characteristics of the BSG are carried out.
