At the current level of the development of environmental science and environmental practice it is not enough to give general estimates of the current situation of a particular territory and the relative current state of the components of the environment. It is necessary to proceed to their quantitative assessment, which will allow not only to more objectively assess the degree of transformation of natural landscapes, but also to develop specific environmental measures to overcome the occurrence of extreme disasters, as well as to perform economic calculations of the necessary means to overcome them. Therefore, having the materials of landscape-geochemical studies with the corresponding databases and estimated techno-geochemical maps, we propose a new method of quantitative assessments of the current state on the basis of the content of heavy metals in the environmental components, the concentration of which in certain intervals is safe for the normal development of natural-anthropogenic geosystems, that creates safety for the life of the population.
