Purpose of the development: A method for reclamation of lands has been developed, including the formation of an external dump with a consequent decrease in the height of the dumping stages, which makes it possible to increase the area of land restoration for agriculture. At the same time, there is a reduction in the volume of planning and exclusion of pre-scale works.

Recommended application field: Mining and mechanical reclamation with open development of horizontal mineral deposits.

Advantages over analogues: The use of the method in the development of the deposit makes it possible to increase the areas of land restoration for agriculture. At the same time, a reduction in the volume of planning and exclusion of re-excavation work is provided. For the conditions of development of the Konstantinovsky brown coal mine, the use of the proposed technology will allow increasing the area of restoration of disturbed lands by 78 hectares.

The development stage readiness: Ready for application

Technical and economic effect: Estimated costs for performing restoration and reclamation works with the proposed method of dump formation will decrease from UAH 17.0 million (under the traditional method) to UAH 10.7 million, due to a reduction in the amount of work on dump surface planning from 22.5 to 15.5 million m3 and range of transportation of the rock in the planning of the surface of the dumps from 350 to 100 m.

The method of land reclamation includes the formation of an external dump with a gradual decrease in the height of the dumping layers with a slope in the direction of the advance of the mining front, and after the trenching, the formation of the internal dump starting directly from the outermost dump and continuing with the continuation as a repetition of the relief (surface tilt) external heap. At performance of researches are developed: - a method of forming external and internal dumps with a combined surface in the open development of horizontal deposits; - a technique for determining the basic parameters of dumps with a combined surface in the open development of horizontal deposits; - technology of heaping during the formation of external and internal dumps with a combined surface.
