Purpose of the development: A modern integrated technology based on innovative solutions is aimed at radically improving the efficiency of coal mining from thin and ultra-thin seams.

Advantages over analogues: Innovative processes in the introduction of modern complex technology for the development of thin and hyperfine layers with radical increases in the load on lavas develop in stages of intensive and evolutionary changes with periods of 3-5 years and require the combination of programs of scientific and technical support for adaptation of new technology in short-term geomechanical processes, improvement and adjustment of the social vector in enterprises.

Technical and economic effect: Indicators of production efficiency and wage growth from the introduction of integrated technology for the development of coal deposits exceed domestic up to 5 times with a reduction in the volume of mine workings by 2.7 times, which corresponds to the world level for medium-thickness reservoirs and allows to determine the infrastructure created as the main one in guaranteeing Ukraine's energy security and one that combines the interests of the state, society and business. The total economic benefit from the use of these authors' developments exceeds 3 billion UAH.

The solution of one of the main scientific and technical problems of Ukraine's energy security through the creation and implementation of a modern integrated technology based on socially-oriented innovations for a radical increase in the efficiency of coal mining from thin and hyperfine layers occurring in difficult conditions of the West and Central Donbass in terms of world indices is more than 80 % of Ukraine's geological reserves and do not have an acceptable alternative to mining in other ways. The extremes of the parameters of technological schemes for the development of thin and ultrathin layers along the length of rows and poles have been found, twice that of domestic ones and equivalent to world-wide for average thickness strata, and based on the safety of personnel, the use of high-resource equipment and reliable fasteners. On this basis, a vertically integrated production company of 11 mines has been established, developing thin and ultra-thin coal beds of steam coal for the introduced new technology, and its production is 40% of the total state volume of this type of coal. The obtained results became the basis of the complex innovative model allowing to predict the stages of intensive and evolutionary changes in coal mining with appropriate reproduction of complex phases of rock pressure and development of mining operations.
