Purpose of the development: An effective method for forecasting dangerous gas-dynamic phenomena in coal mines has been developed without introducing changes to the existing coal mining technology.

Recommended application field: Coal mines that have layers that are dangerous for sudden releases of coal and gas.

Advantages over analogues: Increase the safety of workers working on underground works of coal-mining enterprises of Ukraine, which work out coal seams, dangerous for sudden outbursts of coal and gas.

Technical and economic effect: The economic effect of the introduction consists of obtaining additional profit by increasing the productivity of underground workers and reducing the amount of work to eliminate the consequences of gas dynamic phenomena by increasing the reliability of recognition of the zones of the coal-bearing massif, is really dangerous for sudden outflows of coal and gas. For the development and implementation of the project, the amount of funding is 2 million UAH.

The hardware (intrinsically safe underground and ground parts) and methodical (instruction for use for mine personnel and adaptation techniques) provide the coal mine with an effective means of predicting dangerous gas dynamic phenomena without introducing changes to the existing coal mining technology. The equipment in a convenient and simple form in real time shows the current level of safety in the development and notifies in advance of the possibility of a sudden release of coal and gas. In the development, a normative method of acoustic forecasting of sudden emissions is realized. It is characterized by high accuracy of the forecast in comparison with existing analogues.
