Advantages over analogues: For the first time in Ukraine, the principles of methods and technologies for a continuous and safe cycle of gas extraction from natural gas hydrate deposits and the production of artificial gas hydrates from a methane mixture of degassing wells of Ukrainian mines have been developed.

The development stage readiness: Ready for application

Technical and economic effect: Using an integrated approach to an alternative energy source will increase the economic performance of the coal mining industry and reduce the technogenic impact on the environment. The proposed methodology for creating artificial gas hydrates can be used at all coal-mining enterprises in Ukraine. The estimated cost of one gas hydrate plant - 1 million UAH. The term of creation and commissioning - 2-3 years.

Description of the development:

Preliminary determine the height of the gas hydrate formation, as well as its pressure and temperature. Bore a well for injecting carbon dioxide and lower the casing to pump methane to the surface. The injected carbon dioxide, due to its physical properties, displaces methane from gas hydrates and forms a carbonate gas hydrate. Samples of gas hydrates from methane degassing wells are obtained.
