ANODE FOR CHROMING
Purpose of the development:
To replace traditional anode materials (lead alloys with tin, silver and other precious metals), which are used in the case of hard and protective decorative chrome plating in the automotive and engineering industries.
Recommended application field:
In the automotive and engineering industries, as well as in enterprises that have in their technological cycle galvanic production for chromium plating.
Advantages over analogues:
- absence of passivation of anodes in the process of electrolysis and elimination of anode activation operation;
- reduction (by 8-10 times) of the costs of the anode material by reducing the rate of dissolution;
- increase the mechanical strength of a new alloy, which is especially important during chrome plating of large-sized parts;
- reducing the operating voltage on electrolysis, which subsequently gives an energy saving of 25% on average.
