COMPOSITE MATERIALS FOR WORK IN THE CONDITIONS OF SHOCK-ABRASIVE WEAR


Purpose of the development: Composite materials from iron-carbon alloys are proposed for the production of cast parts (products) operating under static and dynamic loads, as well as shock abrasive wear, namely: bucket teeth of excavators, soil disintegrators, armor of jaw crushers, parts of slurry pumps of thermal power plants, screws, rollers for the milling and jewelry industry, rolls and rollers of rolling mills, gears, construction tools, armor and elements of defense of military equipment and l people and the like.

Recommended application field: The developed composite materials are necessary for the enterprises of metallurgical, mining, machine-building, construction, cement, paper processing, metalworking industries, enterprises for the production of agricultural machinery, and the military-defense complex in Ukraine.

Advantages over analogues: In the manufacture of products from the proposed composite materials, the need to use two melting units or additional equipment for the preparation of melts of various chemical compositions is eliminated, the number of expensive technological operations is reduced, the production of cast parts is simplified, the energy costs are reduced by 30 ... 50% and the cost of cast parts in 1,5 ... 2,0 times, working conditions in the shops of enterprises improve.

The essence of the manufacture of products from composite materials is to smelt the initial melt in one melting unit and pour it into the mold, where it is divided into two streams, one of which is internally processed with a modifying additive to form a wear-resistant part, and the second is amenable to internal processing another functionally used additive to form a viscous shockproof part of the part (product).
