Advantages over analogues: The meter provides monitoring and signaling of the output of the measurement result for user-defined alarm values (settings). The connection of the meter to the thermal resistance transducers is carried out according to a three-wire scheme, the resistance of each connection line must not exceed 25 ohms. The information is displayed on a 16-bit digital character display on liquid crystals.

Measurement occurs by cyclically converting the resistance values of the primary thermocouples of each measurement channel into digital form. In the case of high-power power units, thermal converters are usually built in constructively at certain control points of the unit, where it is necessary to measure the temperature during operation. In the device, the temperature values of each channel are alternately displayed on the digital indicator of the instrument. To monitor the temperature alarms in the device, it is possible to set the limit parameters separately for each measurement channel and to signal the temperature values on this channel for a given range. The number of channels in the measurement cycle and their specific numbers are programmed and can be changed from 1 to 16, if necessary. The meter has three modes of operation: - sequential cyclic measurement and control on all active channels; - a mode of measurement and control on one of the active channel selected by the user; - service mode (channel state programming).
