AIRMONITOR - AIR QUALITY MONITORING FOR THE PREVENTION OF DISEASES AND THE DETERMINATION OF THE POLLUTION SOURCE

Purpose of the development: This project is intended to solve the problem of preventing exacerbations of diseases and identifying sources of contamination with the help of a mobile wearable module, which will analyze the state of a particular patient and the environment, and will provide recommendations for reducing pollution through air quality monitoring.

Recommended application field: Health and Municipal Analyst.

Advantages over analogues: The main competitive advantages of this project are the combination of municipal (the value of which is the analytical module for forecasting air quality dynamics) and user (with integration with EHR systems and personalized recommendations) monitoring, which leads to an increase in the number of customers and, consequently, data sources for their further analysis, in turn, increases the coverage of the monitoring zone.

The development stage readiness: Pre-production model is made

Description of the development:
()
In connection with urbanization in the city deteriorates the quality of air, respectively, increases the number of people with sick respiratory diseases. This problem can become acute phase in the event of certain climatic conditions (calm weather or, conversely, dust storm). The analysis of air condition in different parts of the city is also required for urban design. Ukrainian scientists offer a system that consists of two parts - air monitoring in the city and monitoring the state of the user (for example, asthmatics). In turn, monitoring the user's state also consists of two parts - static air sensors (CO + ozone + dust) hovering around the city, and a sensor connected to the phone constantly connected to the user and monitors its status in real time. Their combination allows you to create an air quality map that is current at the moment, which means that people who are sensitive to air quality (such as asthmatics) can be warned on the most polluted areas (for example, to wear a mask, or to avoid them). Deanonised sensor data is downloaded to the system and become available for analysis by the rest of the users. Analysis of these data may be useful in planning a city environment. Integration of the wearable module with Electronic Personal Health Records (EHR) systems is foreseen.
