Purpose of the development: To neutralize halogen aromatic waste production.

Recommended application field: Chemical, pharmaceutical industry.

Advantages over analogues: DIP-2 in terms of TON is 10-17 times higher than that of known carbene catalysts. It promotes effective neutralization of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and has no analogues on the ecological front.

A catalyst DIP-2 has been developed, in small amounts (0.003-0.005 mol%), it allows detoxification of pesticides and pharmaceutical products that have disappeared from use, including persistent organic pollutants (POPs) such as hexachlorobenzene, dioxins (polychlorinatedibenzodioxins), polychlorinated biphenyls, furans (polychlorodibenzofurans), DDT, etc. (POPs banned for the production and use of the Stockholm Convention of May 22, 2001).
