The VVS-1 catalyst has been developed which allows the reduction of aromatic and aliphatic derivatives of ketones, aldehydes, olefins and aromatic derivatives and mini, at small amounts (0.005-0.01 mol%). The use of the VVS-1 catalyst removes the problem of the use of heavy metals in reducing processes (zinc dust, Raney nickel, etc.), which leads to the formation of a significant amount of waste and allows to make recovery processes environmentally friendly and cheap. Particularly useful catalyst can be in fine organic synthesis, chemical-pharmaceutical production of drugs (bifonazole, cinnarizine, etc.).
