A technology for obtaining OMMT by intercalating cations of quaternary ammonium and derivatives of guanidine into montmorillonite has been developed and recovered from the bentonite clay of the Cherkassy deposit. According to the results of tests according to DSTU B 1.1-14: 2007, OMMT impurities in the fire-protective paint of the intumescent type "Endotherm 170205" increase the fire resistance of the steel column by 5-10%.
