Purpose of the development: For utilization of domestic and industrial polymer waste (secondary polymers) by radiation transformation into a reactive mass for reuse in a composite heat resistant pavement with increased strength.

Advantages over analogues: There are no analogues in Ukraine. Radiation technology ensures the production of high-quality road surface and simultaneously solves the actual environmental problem. In this radiation technology, masses of polymer waste that are hazardous to the environment are returned to economic circulation.

Description of the development:

The technology is based on the radiation destruction of the surface of chemically neutral polymer beads and their further chemical connection with other components of bituminous asphalt into a dense polymer-bitumen composition of heat-resistant paving. Such material retains its properties in the range from -50 ° C to + 120 ° C and has a longer service life.
