PLANTS FOR PRODUCTION OF LIGATURES AND REFINING METAL MELTS


Purpose of the development: The essence of technological processes EMKG - "electromagnetic control gravity" - is to change the gravitational and hydrodynamic conditions in the bath conductive fluid by exposing it to the crossed magnetic and electric fields. In a liquid, for example, melt, create electromagnetic weighting or facilitate that algebraically consist of acceleration of gravity.

Recommended application field: Metallurgy. Areas of application EMKG: · Creation of the melt flow and organized circulation circuits for intensive mixing; · Exemption from slag melts the metal particles (of beads and scrap); · Introduction of additives into melts of light with a greater density (for example, magnesium ferrosilicon); · Intensification of degassing and release of metal melts from non-metallic particles; · Intensification of refining melts.

Technical characteristic: Description of the development: 1 - ladle reactor 3 m3; 2 - pole electromagnet; 3 - side of the electromagnet; 4 - field winding; 5 - tires for current supply; 6 - foundation screw; 7 - a magnetic circuit; 8 - Graphite electrodes; 9 - electrode; 10 - core (limited magnet); 11 - The mixing zone (not limited).

Advantages over analogues: Work units implementing EMKG can be carried out both in batch and in continuous mode.

Technical and economic effect: Upon receipt of flint magnesium alloys with magnesium ingots and liquid ferrosilicon Stakhanov ferroalloy plant extract magnesium ligature averaged 80% whereas with conventional methods to the alloy recovered 40-60%. Developers offer process improvement for sustainable extraction of magnesium and 90% are willing to cooperate with potential users EMKG.
