Advantages over analogues: In the process of functioning the complex provides: - management of the process of collecting the initial information necessary for its further analysis; - operative processing in a mode of a current time of a file of the registered information; - an estimation of quality of processing of a detail; - tool life expectancy; - determination of optimal cutting conditions, which prevent the destruction of the tool and the lack of detail; - issuing diagnostic results to the screen of the microprocessor device and archiving them in the form of a text file.

Input for diagnosis is the trend of sound pressure that accompanies the cutting process. The sound pressure is measured with a microphone, which is mounted on the tool holders. On the basis of these data, the actual resource of the cutting tool is determined and the values of the state indicators are calculated, allowing to give a quantitative evaluation of the quality of machining of the workpiece and the degree of criticality of the technical state of the tool, reducing them to standard ones.
