TECHNOLOGICAL COMPLEX OF ALUMINUM WASTE TREATMENT (CHIP, SLAGS)
Purpose of the development:
The complex allows continuous drying of chip waste with a volume of more than 500 thousand tons / year, their separation from magnetic and weakly magnetic inclusions (Ni-resist of the alloy Fe-13Ni-7Cu).
Recommended application field:
Metallurgy.
Advantages over analogues:
- increased yield of the metal to 92–95%;
- elimination of chip ignition during remelting;
- intensification of mechanical dispersion of chips in the manufacture of products using aluminum powder;
- additional extraction up to 50-60% of aluminum.

Technical and economic effect:
The use of the complex is environmentally friendly, as the gases emitted from burning oil, coolant and other pollutants are used to create a non-oxidizing atmosphere when drying aluminum chips.
Description of the development:
() A technological process has been developed and equipment has been created for the preliminary preparation of aluminum chips before smelting (drying chips). The separation of magnetic and weakly magnetic (nirezist) ferrous metal inclusions, magnetic separation, allows to use in its own production the entire volume of aluminum chips formed as part of the charge instead of expensive purchased fresh charge materials, as well as in the preparation of refractory coating and linings.
