SOLID MULTIWAVE LASER SYSTEM


Purpose of the development: The laser system is designed to generate pulsed radiation at one or several wavelengths from a list of 11 available wavelengths in the ultraviolet, visible and infrared spectral regions.

Recommended application field: Optical spectroscopy, lidar atmospheric sounding, remote detection of explosives and hazardous chemicals, medicine.

Technical characteristic: - длины волн генерации, нм: 266, 355, 532, 559, 563, 588, 599, 621, 639, 1064, 1571; - энергия импульсов генерации, мДж*: 15-160; - частота следования импульсов, Гц: 10, 20; - длительность импульсов, нс*: 9-15; - угловая расходимость пучка излучения, мрад*: 1.5-6.0. *в зависимости от длины волны.

Advantages over analogues: 1. Wide spectral generation range (the range of working wavelengths covers 6 octaves); 2. Relatively low power consumption (diode pumping); 3. Completely solid-state approach (no liquid refrigerant); 4. Simplicity and efficiency of switching the working wavelengths (modular design).

Most commercially available solid-state lasers and laser systems, as a rule, generate radiation at one, two, three or, as a maximum, at four fixed wavelengths. As a result, their application potential may be significantly limited. Scientists have developed a completely solid-state multi-wave laser system. Such a laser system generates pulsed radiation at one or several wavelengths from a list of 11 available wavelengths in the ultraviolet, visible and infrared spectral regions.
