MULTI FREQUENCY COMPLEX OF REMOTE POLLUTION OF MARINE SURFACE IN THE COASTAL AREA


Purpose of the development: The complex is designed to detect contamination by surface-active substances (surfactants) in the form of anthropogenic slicks in the coastal zone of the sea surface.

Recommended application field: Remote sensing of the sea surface, environmental monitoring.

Advantages over analogues: The complex will enable operational monitoring of the ecological status and identification of pollution sources and even their perpetrators in the coastal zone and other local waters, compensate for the shortcomings of satellite monitoring, which provides reliable but not sufficiently timely information, and also allow for prompt monitoring of the results of monitoring to the consumer.

Detection of contamination by surface-active substances (surfactants) in the form of anthropogenic slicks in the coastal zone is hampered by the presence of a large number of slicks of natural origin. Therefore, the goal of this project is to identify and select against the background of such slicks of pollution of the surface of surfactants and assess their volumes by means of local remote and contact monitoring in conditions when the use of spaceborne sensing tools or access to their information is difficult. This turns out to be possible with multifrequency sounding and the use of amplitude and spectral features, with constant adjustment of the results according to wave-monitoring quasi-contact monitoring. At present, there is a Doppler complex, tested in vivo, including marine, multi-frequency (5 frequencies), and a working infrared capillary wave sensor for “subsatellite” wave control, there is a laboratory compact polygon of two-scale waves, which allows working with surfactant films . Theoretical aspects are known, the techniques are in the state of debugging (adaptation and algorithmization).
