Purpose of the development: The development is designed to collect and consolidate data on water resources and water facilities of a river basin or another region (country, region, district) on the basis of a single information model and create on this basis decision support systems (DSS) for integrated water management of the river basin / region.

Recommended application field: The creation and implementation of such systems is dictated by the EU Water Framework Directive, which must be implemented by all EU countries and countries that have signed the Association Agreement with the EU. Therefore, the technology can be used by any country.

The technology allows maximum integration and coordination of various data on water resources and water management facilities. A high level of interoperability and automation of data processing is maintained, models, methods, algorithms and typical software are developed at the level of the best world samples. Local workstations can be installed on any number of computers without purchasing additional keys, without violating the law (a special GIS technology is used to create them). Web systems use free software. It is possible to import from most departmental systems of the industry and export to known data formats. The system requires MS Windows operating system and MS Excel program. The technology has already been tested with the financing of UN projects (UNEP, UNDP), the European Commission, OSCE, GEF, SIDA, including EU countries and Ukraine. Separate DSS implemented in the Republic of Moldova and in the regions of Ukraine. For each river basin and region, a certain adaptation of the DSS is carried out.
